I am writing you this letter to let you know just how special you are. This is not a motivational speech to inspire you to be something bigger or better, but simply a love letter saying that four days of the week are not like you at all. Everyone looks forward to you, how your nights stretch past ten, and how your mornings are an ambiguous hour that come when there’s just enough sunlight in our rooms to wake up. Your days are full of fresh cut grass, BBQ laced air and restful evenings on the porch. It is always hard to say goodbye to you, but every Sunday night we do just that, and close our eyes, waking up to just four more days until we see you again. Dear weekend, you are loved, and most welcome any time of the week, but I think you’re perfect just the way you are.
