Sometimes fate works in weird ways. We think we know exactly what we want, and how to get it. And sometimes we’re right, but then things change, and we adapt, and what we thought we wanted becomes something we never could have realized on our own. And we are happy.
That is how this song feels to me. Dry The River played this stripped down version of the song because the guitarist broke his arm. Fate working in a weird way. The original is beautiful. But this version is something else. It’s so much larger than it sounds. It’s the kind of song that seeps in and fills the whole soul. I first heard it on Madi’s blog (she works at Lime Ricki), and was surprised at how powerful such a soft sounding song can be. So try it out, and let me know what you think.
