Hey everyone it’s Bre!
So I was trying to think of some New Years Resolutions but I wasn’t doing a very good job. Plus, every year I make a list and by the second week of January I’ve already stopped doing everything on it! Not a good thing. So I decided to do something a little different this year. You know how people say that this is a time to reflect on the year gone by and look toward the new year ahead? Well I agree. Kind of. I don’t think you should dwell too much on the past OR the future. You should be living in the present. We should all learn from the past, look toward the future, and live in the present. Easy enough, right? It’s not as easy as it sounds. But once you make your lists you will realize how amazing it is! Make a list of what you learned from the past year, what you are looking forward to in the upcoming year, and what you are living for right now. Learning, Looking, Living. Here’s how I made my list…
–I learned that I can’t judge people on first impressions. A lot of people don’t make good first impressions but are wonderful anyway.
–I look forward to new experiences and new relationships.
–I live for all the people in my life that I love.
I think this is so much better than that same old list you make every year that gets lost in the junk drawer. These are things you have learned from and will one day learn from again. And writing them down makes it so much more memorable. You will realize you learned a lot more than you thought. You’ll realize all of the amazing things you have to look forward to. You’ll realize all the incredible things you have right now and you’ll appreciate everything so much more!
