It’s no secret that the Lime Ricki team is a big fan of Trader Joe’s. And there’s no better time of year to shop at our favorite grocery store than the fall months – we’re talking Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING. Recently at the office, we threw a “Bring your favorite Trader Joe’s treat to work” party so we could taste test all the best autumn-themed snacks. For science, of course. Here’s some of our favorite combos to add to your Thanksgiving spread, or to savor all to yourself. We won’t judge.
Fall Harvest Salsa and Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips
For the savory tooth, we loved the combination of the Fall Harvest Salsa and the Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips. The salsa combines all the flavors of traditional Mexican cuisine with some fall fruits and veggies, like pumpkin, apple, and butternut squash. What you get is a sweet and not-too-spicy concoction that will be a hit as a Thanksgiving appetizer.
Cinnamon Bun Spread and Honey Crisp Apples
Warning: Once you try this Cinnamon Bun Spread, you’ll have a hard time not putting it on everything. It tastes as if you harnessed all the flavor and nostalgia of freshly baked cinnamon rolls and put it into a tasty caramel-like sauce. We love it with freshly sliced honeycrisp apples for a sweet and (somewhat) nutritious snack.
Organic Pumpkin Bread and Apple Cider Jam
Toast and jam is one of the best ways to start your day – so why not autumn-ize this classic combo? The Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bread is filling, delicious, and sweet-but-not-too-sweet, and the Apple Cider Jam just kicks it up a notch.
Cornbread Crisps and Cookie Butter
Just like actual cornbread, these Cornbread Crisps are the perfect mix of salty and sweet. Although they would pair well with any savory dip, we love them with one of our all time Trader Joe’s favorites: Speculoos Cookie Butter.
Maple Leaf Cookies and Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage
Think of this one as the fall version of Oreos and milk. These Maple Leaf Cookies are great for any sweet tooth, and the Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage complements them perfectly.
