Today we visit the world of Post Rock. My favorite description of Post Rock comes from an allmusic.com post about the genre that says, “Post-rock drew from greatly varied influences and nearly always combined standard rock instrumentation with electronics. It was hypnotic and often droning.”
Now that we know a little bit about this world, let’s check out a song—a b-side even—by a band called Enemies. The song is called Robert Reid and appropriately rocks, hypnotizes, and drones. Which is perfect for a Thursday when Friday can’t come soon enough. If you like what you hear, then check out their other stuff, which makes for pretty great study/surf/anything music. Enjoy!
