When we found out rose quartz was going to be the 2016 Pantone Color of the Year, we could hardly contain our excitement and immediately started dreaming of the possibilities for this year’s swim lines. And now that our new line has launched, we have so many more ideas of how to style rose quartz and what to pair it with, so we thought we’d share those ideas with you.

Colors to Pair with Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is the perfect color because you can go one of two ways with it: stick to pastels and muted tones, or pair it with brighter colors for a more bold look.

Here’s a fun example of some pretty pastels to pair with this color – we’re loving the subdued blues and purples and the gold embellishments.

Alternatively, this is a sample of this beautiful color paired with more bold, exciting tones, that we also love!

So, you might be wondering – how does this relate to swimwear? Every year, we try to incorporate the Pantone color of the year into our swim collections (last year it was marsala – seen in our cinnamon suits) and this year is no different. We’re calling it Blush but it’s inspired by Rose Quartz, and just like in street fashion, it goes with everything! We love it both ways, but of course we prefer the brighter route for our suits because well, we love color!

Bold Colors

There’s nothing we love more than bold prints and a little unexpected pattern mixing, and luckily, rose quartz fits perfectly into the mix! Don’t be afraid to pair it with a dark blue, neon punch color, or even our kiwi green peplum!

Pastels

We don’t have a lot of pastels in our swim lines most of the time, but we’re loving these soft pinks with the light pool blues from our spring line!
