Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Do you have any plans with a special someone or perhaps you’re getting together with your gal pals to enjoy a singles girl’s night out? Well, no matter what your plans are, there’s always an excuse to get gussied up for the holiday of love. This holiday is usually decked out with vibrant reds, pinks, and purples but this Valentine’s Day I’m going to throw out the typical love colors and tone it down with some nudes and pastels. I have picked a simple color palette for my Valentine’s outfit: a nude (on the pink side) and white top, light lavender belt, and I finished it off with a steely navy skirt. Color palette isn’t the only factor to a romantic outfit. Use light and soft materials and patterns. You can never go wrong with a tulle skirt. Match it with a ruffle sleeve, Peter Pan collar chiffon top and a floral printed skinny belt. I then topped off my outfit with a long gold necklace, adorned with only a few charms. For my make up, I’m wearing a fun popping pink on my lips and a ballerina pink coats my nails. Now try your hand at making a romantic outfit and remember love doesn’t always mean sexy, but can very much be beautiful and simple.
